Vintage Bobcat Snow Blower and Google Toy

My old snow blower, a freebie from Dad, has a cool design. I like the camelesque humped lines. It's cool that it's a Bobcat.
While doing some research on it, I found a blog dedicated to old snow blowers. (Another reason for snowmen to smile.) This blog had a link to Google Patents.
Simply typing in the patent number gave me heaps of drawings and information from the original patent application.
Patent number: 2770894
Filing date: Jul 3, 1952
Issue date: Nov 1956
Great to learn about the Bobcat. Cool to have access to drawings of many of my patented gizmos around the house. May come in handy.

I saw http://heathstroke.blogspot.com/2008/12/vintage-bobcat-snow-blower-and-google.html and wanted to mention a useful site: http://www.FreePatentsOnline.com

It provides free patent searching, free PDF downloading, allows annoting documents and sharing them, and free alerts for new documents.

If you have a spot, a link to let your users know abou the site would be great.

My Dad owned one of these. I used it all the time and there is nothing like it on the market today!

I have exactly the same for over 25 years. I got it it was already 25. I had to change the engine after one rebuilt. Now it has a Honda 5.5. But I am afraid the extra 0.5 cuased an axle to break. Now I need a new gear case or I have to remore the shaft and get it welded. But the all tyhing is a great challange.

You actually make it appear really easy along with
your presentation but I find this topic to be actually something that I feel I might
never understand. It kind of feels too complicated and very large for me.
I am having a look ahead for your next submit, I'll try to get the cling of it!

I would like to know why nobody uses the second stage paddle its like a dream. My Dad had it for 30 years My Mom gave it to me When she moved into a condo. When I was 14 I was blowing snow at home I caught a baseball with it and threw it 2 houses over and broke a window. My Dad had to pay for the window but I still use that same blower today and I am 52 now....
