Alligator Gar Skull


While camping along the shores of Lake Pepin just North of Lake City the kids and I found the skull and decomposing skin of an alligator gar. Claire says, "It's smooshy and smelly, but cool." Harris commented, "It's interesting and cool. I wonder how it died."

That is super cool. Like finding a Minnesota version of the giant squid. I so wish you kept it bleached it and mounted it. Yea mounted it on wood boards for your wall.
